I am Alpgiray, a full-stack developer in Munich. I build internal software at Knorr-Bremse as a working student and study computer science at Technische Universität München, and most of what I build ends up in front of real people.

Mentor YKS is the clearest example. I am the sole engineer and product owner on an exam-prep platform that has passed 100,000 downloads and serves 22,000+ monthly and 2,000+ daily active users, 1,500 of them new every month. I re-architected it from a plain question bank into a social learning platform, with a feed, short-form video lessons, messaging, competitive focus timers and a real-time arena mode, so studying stops being something you do alone.

At Knorr-Bremse, a 35,000-person industrial company, I am the sole developer of Smart System Select: the internal platform that replaced an Excel-based brake configuration workflow and cut test-case creation from 20 to 60 minutes to under 5. I sit inside the braking systems division rather than a software team, so requirements come straight from the mechanical engineers who use the tool.

Flutter and React on the front, Java with Spring Boot and NestJS with TypeScript on the back, PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server underneath. I own the parts that are not code too: requirements, release cycles, store submissions, product direction.

Before Munich I spent a year in Bremen learning German to Telc C1. I am looking for a 13 to 17 week full-time internship starting May, June or July 2027.
